Our Company

State Street Corporation is building a transformational Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program by executing innovative and effective transaction monitoring strategies. As an AML Transaction Monitoring Senior Analyst, you will help support and document the performance of state-of-the-art models, methods, and features. You will support the validation, monitoring, and performance reporting of transaction monitoring models to key stakeholders, as well as other Financial Crimes processes. As a member of the transaction monitoring team, you will leverage leading technology to develop POCs and test software efficacy based on industry experience across the AML and bank risk technology space. You will also play a significant role in partnering with business units, data stewards, and IT teams for a better understanding of the customer journey across multiple lines of business and determine priorities to support both data transparency and AML compliance needs.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model (4 days on site in Boston branch, 1 day remotely) to balance your needs and the role requirements.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Support compliance and business stakeholders with the development of documentation related to models, strategies, and procedures
  • Foster confidence in the accuracy and completeness of models and processes through ongoing documentation and confirmation of anti-money laundering processes as the business evolves
  • Assure compliance with enterprise initiatives and standards (e.g. completion of model inventories, coordinate the implementation of enterprise policies, etc.)
  • Prepare documentation and presentations that explain complex processes for supervisory audiences
  • Leverage strong business and communication skills to identify and resolve anomalies within data, code, or metrics.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Business, Finance or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in anti-money laundering compliance, data management, data analysis, and transaction monitoring
  • Knowledge of financial crime platforms including Actimize, Fircosoft, DataBricks, AWS, and related technology preferred
  • Proficiency with banking and financial markets preferred

Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical development teams
  • Experience working with data and analytic solutions and the science behind them, either as a builder/provider of these solutions or as a client that uses them.
  • Strong skills leading initiatives and building positive business partner relationships
  • Strong networking skills and ability to work across multiple organizations to accomplish diverse goals
  • Demonstrated ability to influence critical business outcomes in a matrix based, global environment
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Familiarity with anti-money laundering laws and controls

Salary Range:
$100 000 - $167 500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
