Who we are looking for

State Street Alpha Data Service (ADS) is the data-as-a-service provider that is the back bone of the Alpha front to back strategy. Combining both technology and service provision to deliver significant data management value to our clients. We're looking for a candidate to lead our Implementation Practice Leads.

Alpha Data Services Product Roadmap Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for understanding, managing and tracking Product feature and functionality requirements to client implementations milestones. Ensuring requirements are clearly known and committed to by Technology Product Owners. Including for customisation requirements
  • Establish and maintain a standardised process of creating Product Roadmaps in alignment with Technology Product Owners, Product practice area leads and Client Implementation leads.
  • Establish and maintain a process to track Product versioning, by client and environment across all ADS components. For example; Data Warehouse, Alpha Index Hub versions etc
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including Alpha Data Platform and SSCD, to manage product roadmap and track overall product health and act to resolve impediments / issues
  • Participate in strategic planning, project sequencing, decision making, reporting and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate overall product roadmap communications, measure progress and monitor performance, and manage risk and issue resolution-anticipating, documenting, and escalating as appropriate
  • Identify and monitor cross-project interdependencies; develop and propose solutions to resolve resource conflicts
  • Effectively interface with senior management, key stakeholders, and vendors regarding project deliverables, status, issues, and risks
  • Contribute towards creating and documenting best practices, collaborating with teams and implementing these activities into the core development process

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills; effectively communicates (both written and oral) at all levels throughout an organization
  • Comfortable gaining commitment and consensus through persuasion and negotiation; works collaboratively across teams to reach common goals
  • Solid decision-maker that takes responsibility for projects, people, and actions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent time management
  • Skilled relationship manager, adept at building a network of contacts inside an organization;
  • Business results orientation; emphasizes high quality, productivity, and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Possess knowledge of Jira, Jira workflows, and Jira reporting
  • Understanding of Release Management
  • Ability to manage multiple product delivery plans concurrently with the ability to prioritize tasks and interdependencies
  • Strong project management skills and solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools and techniques
  • Organization skills with a commitment to meeting deadlines and expectations while ensuring overall quality of delivery

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • University degree in the field of computer science, data management or other financial services technical field
  • 12+ years in data management, product and market data roles and responsibilities
