Financial Reporting

Financial Reporting team is responsible for the review of Annual and Semi-Annual Financial Statements as well some monthly/quarterly reports for Alternative structures (Private equity/Real estate/Debt funds) and Hedged funds in LUX GAAP/US GAAP/IFRS.

Under the supervision of the manager of Financial and Regulatory Reporting teams, the intern will ensure that quality deliverables for Investment Funds are sent to our clients. Such deliverables are compiled by a local team that leverages a delegated service model with part of the functions outsourced to our Hubs (Poland and India). On one side, s/he will take directions from the senior team members and on the other, s/he will guide the Hub Financial Reporting team according to department and bank strategy.

In close relation with the other Fund Reporting Team Leads, s/he will ensure that the assigned client-base (incl. the related stakeholders Auditor, Translator, Printer, Regulator, etc.) is serviced according to best practice and market standards. This includes e.g. that new demands or specific projects are adequately reflected in the overall development queue of the department.

Fund Accounting

Fund Accounting is at the core of our asset servicing solutions for our clients allowing State Street to give asset owners and managers access to the essential financial tools they need to deliver effective investment solutions. The Fund Accounting Oversight team take responsibility for the accuracy of the NAV (Net Asset Value) per share published to the marketplace and liaise with other supporting departments to ensure the highest standards of service are maintained.

Under the supervision of an experienced Fund Accounting Oversight Manager, the successful candidate will learn about the components of the Fund Accounting value chain, the impact that each have on the final NAV calculation and how to identify potential errors in calculation.

Tax Services - Preparation of Luxembourg Subscription Tax Declarations.

Custody Management Services

Custody team is responsible for timely settlement of Transactions on the market as well as supporting the client investing in markets around the globe.

Under the supervision of the manager of the CMS Project and oversight team, the intern will support the team in a variety of project and initiatives including but not limited to support to Fund launches and internal initiatives. He will also get an understanding of the regulatory environment of Bank in relation to delegation and oversight requirement.

Knowledge and Education:

  • Finance related educational degree - Finance, Business Administration, Accountancy, Economics, International Business, Private Equity and Investment Management.
  • Candidate must have some financial knowledge of funds (equities, bonds, derivatives).
  • Fluent in English- French and/or German is a plus.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office products, in particular MS Excel.
