What You Will Do:
The Design Systems Lead will be responsible for developing, scaling, and maintaining our design system. This role acts as a critical bridge between design and development, ensuring consistent and effective implementation of our design language, Hyperspace, across all products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Product Design, a proven track record in leading design system initiatives, and excel in driving collaboration with cross-functional teams. This senior position requires a strategic thinker capable of shaping the future of our design system and fostering alignment across teams to ensure seamless execution and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design System Development: Lead the creation and evolution of our design system, encompassing components, patterns, and guidelines that enhance user experience and product consistency.
- Scalability: Formulate strategies to efficiently scale the design system across multiple products and platforms.
- Collaboration with Developers: Partner closely with front-end developers to implement design system components, ensuring a seamless alignment between design feasibility and coding accuracy. Oversee development readiness by validating components and prototypes, conducting thorough QA to confirm alignment with design intent, facilitating smooth handoffs, addressing follow-up needs, and ensuring usability and consistency in the final build.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Researchers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the design system aligns with user needs and business objectives.
- Governance and Documentation: Establish governance models for the design system, maintain comprehensive documentation, and promote best practices throughout the organization.
- Design Library Organization and Blueprint Development: Develop, maintain, and ensure design libraries are well-organized, easily accessible, and scalable, including creating detailed component blueprints that facilitate efficient implementation and ensure consistency across design and development teams.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to Product Designers regarding the effective utilization of the design system in their projects.
- Innovation and Trend Awareness: Continuously monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to evolve and enhance the design system, ensuring it remains efficient, easy to implement, and adaptable to new standards and best practices.
- Strategic Leadership in System Evolution: Drive the long-term vision for the design system, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation, improvements, and cross-team collaboration to future-proof the system and align it with evolving business and user needs.
- Education and Advocacy: Develop and lead educational initiatives to foster understanding and adoption of the design system across the organization, ensuring all teams are empowered to use it effectively, including brown bags and design review participation
Skills
- Strong understanding of UX principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe CS.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Product Design
- Proven experience leading and scaling design systems

Compensation Range
$134,000 - $178,000 - $223,000
The base salary range for this role at minimum, midpoint and maximum is shown above. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired close to or at the maximum of the salary range. At Sprinklr, base pay depends on multiple individualized factors, including experience, qualifications, job-related knowledge and skills, and geographic location. Base pay also depends on the relative experience, knowledge, skills to our internal peers in the role. Base pay is only one part of our competitive Total Rewards package: the successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Sprinklr's discretionary bonus plan, commission plan and/or equity plan, depending on role.
