Temporary Recruitment Admissions Assistant

Title: Temporary Recruitment Admissions Assistant
Department: SF Scholars Program 
Report to:  Senior Program Manager, Student Enrollment
Compensation: $25.00 hourly
FLSA:  Non-Exempt
Location: Hybrid – 2 days/week in office 
Dates: Mid September- December 20th

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Recruitment Admissions Assistant will support the Recruitment team throughout the Fall Recruitment Cycle (Mid-September through December) to ensure that SEO Scholars San Francisco meets recruitment goals and engages with potential Scholars and their families by providing prompt communication and answering questions. The position will be remote throughout the duration of the contract.

Responsibilities for the Admissions Assistant are outlined below:

  • Processing incoming student applications on Zengine.(Training on navigating platform will be provided);
  • Support the growth of submitted applications by focusing on the completion of partial applications through emailing, texting, calling potential applicants and families through Signal Vine Texting, Outlook (SF Admissions email account), and Zoom (phone calls) platforms;
  • Respond to all applicant outreach, ultimately ensuring that the recruitment team meets its application target numbers;
  • Track applicant information and communication in recruitment databases and spreadsheets;
  • With guidance of Recruitment Senior Manager and team, the admissions assistant will manage databases to make data-driven decisions;
  • Manage contact information systems to ensure accuracy and up-to-date information for effective outreach;
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Recruitment Senior Manager and team as necessary;
  • Collaborate with recruitment manager to execute large scale operations such as interview days;
  • Represent the program to prospective applicants and families on the phone, via email, and during registration for admissions events;
  • Additional tasks not listed above that would support Recruitment communication and goals.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Evening Hours will be 5-7pm on Weekdays (specifically M/W/F days) – though changes in evening schedule may occur based recruitment support needed during peak season.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and capacity to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and handle various data sources and deadlines;
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff both verbally and in writing;
  • Experience in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite), and familiarity with admissions software or databases – though training in application platform will be provided.

Compensation & Benefits

This position is benefits ineligible in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.

The compensation listed in this posting reflects what SEO believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and SEO reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
