Manufacturing Engineering Technician II

Position Objective
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician II position is responsible for the planning, setup, maintenance and repair of equipment, fixtures and assemblies utilized in the manufacturing process

Primary Responsibilities

  • Performs preventative maintenance on specialized test systems and production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, network and software issues.
  • Performs diagnostics in identification and resolution of equipment/process related defects.
  • Perform analysis and provide input to mitigate risk due to obsolete or high-risk equipment and parts.
  • Performs more advanced system and equipment calibrations.
  • Ability to stay on task with no supervision and minimal direction.
  • Building of new cabling and harnesses per provided schematics.
  • Provide recommendations for periodicity changes based off of usage and previous calibration data.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Initiate drawing and procedural changes in Agile.
  • Provide input to risk assessments and safety studies during development or upgrades of equipment and systems.
  • Setup, programs, operate and monitor equipment for various product applications as required by engineers' direction.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university or vocational school in Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering related field OR a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of technical experience.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Knowledgeable in Electrostatic Discharge Protection (ESD) practices, including set up and verification of Electrostatic Protection Areas.
  • Should be familiar with reading and manipulating multiple data formats.
  • Understanding of NFPA 70, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, ANSI S20.20 and WHMA A-620.
  • Ability to read, understand and develop electrical and mechanical schematics for diagnosis and repair.
  • Computer skills including: MS Office Suite, Agile and Aegis.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
