RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Operate as a HR Business Partner for a growing global client group that spans fifteen countries
  • Field and respond employee inquiries, questions and concerns
  • Provide information, guidance and direction to leadership on employee relations issues, performance management, and other core HR functions
  • Work closely with functional HR experts (recruiting, training and development, compensation, and benefits) to ensure programs are optimized for the needs of our global client group and assist with the creation, documentation, and implementation of global human resources policies, processes and establishing best practices
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, managers, and external partners
  • Act as key point of contact for external Professional Employer Organization (PEO) partners and primary HRBP point of contact for PEO contractors
  • Maintain employee files and process HR transactions in our global HRIS and other HR platforms
  • Uphold standards of strict confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of professional human resources experience in lieu of a degree
  • 2+ years of professional human resources experience supporting a global workforce with a global company

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficiency in navigating complex international labor and employment laws and regulations in multiple regions
  • Prior experience working with a professional employer organization
  • Demonstrated success at building effective relationships
  • Experience independently handling employee relations issues in global locations
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use independent judgment to make decisions as well as organize and prioritize work
  • Demonstrated excellence thriving in a fast-paced environment
  • Strategic thinker, adaptable to change, and dedicated to providing exceptional support to a global and diverse workforce
  • Experience with Greenhouse, UltiPro, and Jira
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to discretely and handle confidential information

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This is not a remote position and will require relocation if not already local to the Hawthorne, CA area
  • Position requires the ability to work extended hours and weekends when needed
  • Position requires the ability to accommodate time zone differences in other countries 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:
HR Business Partner/Level I: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00/per year
HR Business Partner/Level II: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00/per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short & long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation & will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Exempt employees are eligible for 5 days of sick leave per year.
