Responsibilities
- Oversees the optimization of ongoing technical training programs for the enterprise
- Provides leadership and technical direction to team members to ensure project activities and timelines are met and training materials are delivered in a timely manner
- Delivers complex instruction and training, and demonstrative interaction across multiple levels of leadership
- Improves technical training strategies and recommends effective training materials and curriculum priorities in order to produce successful training outcomes
- Applies subject matter expertise to review and create a technical training curriculum that balances the needs of different functions
- Maintains knowledge of strategies and culture and integrates into training techniques, materials and tools across all levels
- Collaborates with senior level cross functional stakeholders to understand Operating Unit and/or enterprise challenges and priorities that can be incorporated into the learning experience
- Aligns with teams on training plan and leads development of events that are tailored to group's needs and support the unit strategy
- Enhances analysis on program effectiveness, and presents to Operating Unit or enterprise leaders on results
- Develops formal documentation of training programs, curriculum, and outcome objectives
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience leading and implementing learning initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience assessing the impacts of regulatory requirements and safety initiatives on electric grid infrastructure and operational processes for customer service or craft and experience reporting findings to key regulatory stakeholders.
- Experience interpreting and aligning SCE business operations with regulatory requirements across multiple organizational units, including Customer Service or Craft, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment.
- Experience overseeing the implementation of safety initiatives across diverse operating units (OUs), assessing effectiveness, identifying gaps, and reporting on outcomes.
- Experience implementing automation solutions that ensure compliance with policy or governing agencies while embedding safeguards in process design.
- Experience providing oversight of training curriculum maintenance, ensuring programs remain current and aligned with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Experience representing SCE in engagements with external vendors and contractors.
- Experience making data-driven recommendations and executing complex initiatives that address regulatory and operational challenges.
- Experience collaborating with business leaders, vendors, and contractors to prepare and deliver clear and concise recommendations.
- Experience defining project requirements, developing implementation roadmaps, and managing execution while navigating obstacles.
Additional Information
- This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.\u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.\u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
