Become a Technical Documentation Control Advisor - Corporate Real Estate at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll report directly to the Sr. Manager of CRE Operations, leading the critical business record workflows necessary to manage SCE's 7 million square foot non-electric real estate portfolio. You'll be responsible for handling the life cycle of electronic documents from creation to destruction; developing, maintaining, and training on procedures and standards; and creating quality controls to ensure complete and accurate records. You will also spend some of your time surveying SCE facilities and assets, and creating Computer-Aided Design (CAD) files and drawings to add to the portfolio, enabling detailed understanding for efficient maintenance management and planning.

Responsibilities
- Implements and executes the document management strategy in support of the scope of work performed, establishing and implementing new document control procedures as needed
- Develops and maintains document control process for efficient project management
- Ensures documentation is returned by vendors on time, expediting processes if needed
- Implements efficient work-flow process, monitors daily activity, implements modifications and ensures that all local practices and activities comply with company policies and procedures
- Conducts periodic audits and reviews of document control processes to ensure consistent document management practices throughout the organization
- Communicates with suppliers and vendors and coordinates determination of part structures and review documentation
- Ensures all management and system documentation is current and easily accessible in hard files and digital records
- Coordinates all activities related to the document control procedure, including technical documents, drawings, and commercial correspondence
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience compiling and maintaining technical documentation such as blueprints, drawings, change orders and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Real Estate, Architecture, Engineering, or related technical major.
- Seven or more years of experience leading critical business record management, record quality, and document and content life cycles.
- Three or more years of experience reading construction drawings in subject areas such as: Architectural, Civil, Electrical, Fire Protection, HVAC, Landscape, Mechanical, Plumbing, Equipment and Structural
- Certificate in Computer Aided Design (CAD) program, such as AutoCAD.
- Three or more years of experience creating CAD files.
- Experience working with cross functional teams across multiple fields (e.g., engineering, project management), and internal and external personnel.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a plus.
- Two or more years of experience using a Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) / Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), such as Archibus.
Additional Information
- This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.\u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.\u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

- The primary work location for this position is Rosemead, CA. However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at work locations throughout the SCE service territory.
- Position will require up to 20% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
- This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
- Relocation does not apply to this position.
