Responsibilities
- Oversees the operations of the distribution system, ensuring system reliability, prompt trouble response, timely management notifications, and accurate service guarantees
- Provides operational support for emergency operations during storm events, offering after hours on-call support as needed
- Maintain comprehensive expertise of current procedures for the operation of the distribution system, responding to calls from other departments for support and troubleshooting process breakdowns
- Utilizes online systems, including the outage management system (OMS), to monitor performance and gather data for decision making
- Oversees day-to-day operations and assignments and develops and monitors workloads to facilitate smooth workflow and resource utilization
- Ensures all employees thoroughly understand strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures in all operations and enforces adherence to applicable internal and external policies
- Resolves operational issues promptly and effectively and leads the team to implement corrective actions, acting as a resource for team members and acting on behalf of the manager when they are not available
- Facilitates and continues applicable training, leadership, mentoring and development opportunities for employees, promoting a safety-focused culture with all staff, conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Four or more years of experience in an electric utility, dispatch, planning, designing, construction, maintenance, substation operations, engineering, or construction project management
- Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in overseeing and managing distribution systems, ensuring reliability and prompt response to issues.
- Experience providing operational support during emergencies, including storm events, and availability for after-hours on-call support.
- Knowledge of current procedures for distribution system operations and troubleshooting process breakdowns.
- Experience in using outage management systems (OMS) and other (SAP, ITRON) online tools for monitoring performance and data-driven decision making.
- Experience in overseeing day-to-day operations, developing workloads, and ensuring smooth workflow and resource utilization.
- Experience implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures in compliance with organizational policies.
- Ability to resolve operational issues promptly and effectively, and lead teams in implementing corrective actions.
- Experience in facilitating training, leadership, mentoring, and development opportunities for employees.
- Experience in safeguarding physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets, and managing sensitive information with high standards of conduct and integrity.

- This position\u2019s work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location.\u00a0 Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
