Responsibilities
- Oversees engineers performing diagnostics, monitoring and inspecting equipment, and reviewing grid technologies, building relationships to facilitate cross-functional knowledge transfer of related work groups
- Leads the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and other documentation to communicate project status, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders
- Collaborate and lead with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless development, integration and implementation of future technologies and asset performance management strategies
- Assists in a variety of engineering and business initiatives and grid strategies, including development of innovative procedures and design recommendations
- Provides support for new equipment installation and startup, then leads the hand over processes to the ramp and sustaining phases
- Leads junior engineers in investigation of threats on the distribution system infrastructure based on observations and findings
- Gathers and correlates basic data using engineering studies and procedures, which may include routine and diagnostic testing of components and systems
- Facilitates training and professional development opportunities for engineering team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Bachelor's Degree in a scientific/technical/math field.
- Seven or more years of experience performing engineering work in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments.
- Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with power system transmission or distribution analysis tools, such as PSLF, OMS, DMS, EMS, and CYME-D or other similar software.
- Professional Engineer's License.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects and/or a team.
- Demonstrated ability to interface effectively and collaborate with clients, peers, project personnel, and all levels of management enterprise-wide to develop solutions and ensure partner consensus.
- Must demonstrate the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks appropriately, develop and implement business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated experience with project management concepts and experience including planning, prioritizing, scheduling, and coordinating multiple projects.
Additional Information
- This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.\u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.\u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

- The primary work location for this position is Ventura CA. However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at an alternate work location.
- Position will require up to 25% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
- This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
- Relocation does not apply to this position.
