In this job, you'll manage the Rate Analysis COE queue and support the Rate Advisors with projects involving mass rate impacts and rate comparisons for all assigned customers in the Customer Engagement Division (CED) organization as well as to unassigned customers for other marketing campaigns. Provides management with updates and proactively communicates issues that could have major impacts on impeding the progress of projects. Responsibilities

  • Manages the rate analysis queue and support Rate Advisors with mass rate impact and comparison projects
  • Maintains rate analysis tools, forecast models, and internal calculators for completing analysis
  • Performs standard to complex rate analysis for various customer groups
  • Provides expert support, training, and consulting to Account Managers and Executives
  • Addresses complex tariff, customer and company problems that require advanced technical or regulatory knowledge
  • Supports the development of special contract electric rates for current and prospective customers
  • Collects data for the analysis of financial information and operating statistics and their impacts for the development of regulatory strategies.
  • Undertakes the detailed review of rate change advice letters and applications; assist customers in selecting rates that best meet their respective needs
  • Supports the development of cost recovery tariffs or customer fees
  • Runs data using SAS and BOBJ reports; conducts research utilizing SAP
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience with statistical, econometric, engineering, or financial modeling.
  • Experience with developing, modifying, and interpreting tariffs for residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and other sectors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Excel skills in VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and basic Macros.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or other related discipline.
  • Experience working with utility electricity rates and tariffs.
  • Knowledge of future regulatory rate changes and abilities to assess implications.
  • Experience with BOBJ, C4/S4 SAP Systems and SAS.
  • Ability to develop communication materials (e.g., power point)

Additional Information

  • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.\u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.\u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
