In this job, you'll be a technical lead for implementing complex specialized technical projects, collaborating with Project Managers, while continuing to provide consultative services to peers and Account Managers in BCD Organization. Managing and implementing projects involving mass rate impacts and rate comparisons for all assigned customers in BCD organization as well as to unassigned customers for other marketing campaigns. Providing management with updates and proactively communicates issues that could have major impacts on impeding the progress of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Drafts and submits advice letters in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develops, modifies, and interprets tariffs for residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural, pumping, and street lighting rates and balancing and memorandum accounts
  • Supports advocacy and implementation of tariff changes for General Rate Cases
  • Responds to expedited formal complaints and represents the company in complaint hearings
  • Project manages specific elements of regulatory proceedings and legislative activities affecting tariffs and company's revenue requirement
  • Provides analysis to inform strategic decisions on regulatory policies, procedures, and implementation
  • Provides regulatory and tariff interpretations to ensure compliance
  • Follows through on the delivery of required regulatory reports, annual compliance filings, data responses, ordered compliance filings and other similar non-rate case filings
  • Considers company objectives, strategies and regulatory environment in decision making
  • Develops internal calculators for completing moderate to complex analysis; lead mass rate impact and comparison projects; performing complex or customized rate analyses comparisons; maintains the online Bill comparison tool for non-residential customers and works on enhancements
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Seven or more years of experience with statistical, econometric, engineering, or financial modeling.
  • Experience with developing, modifying, and interpreting tariffs for residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and other sectors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or other related disciplines.
  • Experience understanding SCE's electric rates and tariffs.
  • Five years or more experience monitoring, analyzing, processing, and documenting complex data using spreadsheets and reports, including Excel skills in VLOOKUP, PivotTables, bacis Macros, etc.
  • Four years of more experience leading and managing projects
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access BOBJ, C4/S4 SAP Systems, and SAS.
  • Experience developing and delivering technical presenttions to both technical and non-technical audiences

Additional Information

  • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.\u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.\u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
