Responsibilities
- Designs and manages complex system implementations for technical teams, vendors and operational staff in order to ensure new technical capabilities, business systems, processes and procedures are developed and implemented to improve the company operational efficiency
- Establish performance expectations and goals aligned with Company objectives, policies, and procedures. Manages, hires, trains and develop staff by providing timely feedback, coaching and support. Assesses organization and provides strategic guidance to attain departmental goals and operational efficiencies while utilizing current staffing and system advancements to balance constraints and maintain appropriate work/life balance
- Oversees all aspects of analyses, presentations, and implementation strategies for a complete complex analysis, often of moderate or major significance and/or risk to the Company
- Provide expert advice and analysis of data related to customer usage, demand response and supply in the wholesale electric market to users across EPM and other SCE groups such as Finance, Risk Control, Law, Regulatory Operations and Customer Services in support of after-the-fact analysis and regulatory reporting. May appear as a witness in regulatory proceedings or lawsuits
- Designs and implements the company's hedging strategy to serve customer load by optimizing costs and risks, and ensuring alignment to the procurement of wholesale energy commodities and import allocation rights
- Oversees and ensures critical wholesale market transactions and operational activities are accomplished and in compliance with all external regulatory policies
- Review and approve the preparation and submission of regulatory reports and filings to state and federal regulatory bodies
- Manage, review and approve data request responses to state and federal regulatory bodies
- Provides direction for three departments to ensure accurate and timely payments of annual energy-related transactions and payments in excess of $13B, including approving invoices from $2-5M and making recommendations to Vice President for approving invoices in excess of $25M
- Provides direction to EPM on the Capital technology spend of about $6M per year. Leads the strategy and development of EPM technology roadmap
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
- Experience with the data requirements for energy markets and energy procurement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the electrical market
- Experience managing energy procurement contracts and/or ISO markets
- Experience as a manager of managers with direct reports
- Knowledge of methodologies of financial controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley
- Experience reviewing and approving multiple payments for energy-related products.
Additional Information
- This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.\u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.\u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
