Become an Information Technology PM - PSC Generation, Senior Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll lead a skilled team responsible for IT Planning, Delivery, and Operations for the Generation portfolio. As part of IT's Power System Controls group, the team includes project, technical, engineering staff and contract resources responsible for SCE's Generation control systems.
Key Focus of Role
- Team Leadership: Develop strategic direction, set and manage goals, and provide leadership to the PSC Generation team.
- Continuous Improvement: Work with the team and clients to identify and implement automation and process improvements to increase safety, achieve cost savings, and continuously improve our value proposition.
- IT Portfolio: As a portfolio manager for Generation control systems, this position will manage resources, create statements of work, negotiate costs, and partner with Supply Management to provide vendor oversight.
- Collaboration: Partner with business clients and other IT teams to provide project management oversight and direction to project teams to ensure successful solution and service delivery.
- Systems Development: Manage all stages of the systems development life cycle, including analysis, estimation, design, evaluation, demonstration, construction, testing, implementation, and ongoing operational support.
- Automation: Play a key role in enablement and automation of new business capabilities, functions, processes, and products for the Generation Control Systems.
- Incident Tracking: Respond to incidents as they arise, such as operational issues at the power plants, which includes being on call 24/7.
- Budgets: This position will be responsible for large capital budgets and nominal O&M budgets to provide end-to-end Plan/Delivery/Run services for Generation Control Systems.

Responsibilities
- Develops long-term vision and strategic roadmap for the project management competency
- Cultivates relationships with business partners and vendors to achieve operational excellence
- Drive adoption of innovative project management methodologies and approaches
- Directs project portfolio planning and ongoing optimization of resources to advance key initiatives
- Enhances program increment planning, dependency management, and synchronization of Agile release trains
- Promotes collaboration between project teams to share knowledge, reuse code, align architecture, and standardize processes
- Provides coaching and mentoring to project managers on Agile principles, removing impediments, and evolving practices
- Drives initiatives to improve team velocity trends, defect rates, and sprint burndown metrics to mitigate risk
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
- Experience developing long-term vision and strategic roadmaps for IT projects.
- Experienced in technical leadership of project portfolio planning and ongoing optimization of resources.

Preferred Qualifications
- Ten or more years of experience in a combination of Technical/Engineering and Project Management role.
- Seven or more years of experience supporting or leading Software projects or key business initiatives.
- Five or more years of experience working with Generation Distributed Control systems. (DCS, PLCs, Historian, SCADA).\u00a0
- Five or more years of experience with Deployment Readiness, IT Operational Readiness, Organization Change Management, Data Readiness, and/or DevOps.
- Three or more years of experience managing System Integration work to integrate Commercial Off-The-Shelf product with Enterprise applications and systems.
- Five or more years of experience managing suppliers, service contracts, project metrics, and contracts to meet project objectives.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical major.
- Professional training and certifications consistent with Project Management, including one or more of the following: Six Sigma, ITIL, PMP, Agile and/or Scrum certification.

Additional Information
- This position\u2019s work mode is\u00a0hybrid.\u00a0The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.\u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and\u00a0reside in the state of California.\u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.\u00a0The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

- The primary work location for this position is\u00a0Rosemead, CA.\u00a0 However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work on occasions at\u00a0any of our Generation facilities including but not limited to Redlands, Big Creek, Bishop, and Catalina.
- Position will require up to 25%\u00a0traveling and being at SCE generation facilities throughout the\u00a0SCE service territory.\u00a0 Periodic site visits are expected to our primary sites in Redlands, Big Creek, Bishop, and Catalina and additional time on-site may be required as part of major project deliveries or production problems.\u00a0
- Valid Driver\u2019s License and ability to travel to various Generation facilities, at times in remote areas. Although infrequent, this can mean taking various modes of transportation which may include off-road vehicles, aircraft, hiking and watercraft.
- This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation.\u00a0 Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
- This position has an option for a 9/80 Alternate Work Schedule or 40hrs/5 days a week.
- Relocation does not apply to this position.
