Become an HR Business Partner at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll be a valuable resource to employees and leaders within assigned Operating Unit(s) (OUs), providing thought partnership, guidance and support to executives, leaders, and employees at all levels of the organization. You will also drive proactive outreach efforts aligned with established people priorities and/or other HR activities related to employee experience/work environment, overall organizational effectiveness, and the development and execution of employee engagement strategies.
This position will initially be responsible for providing HRBP support to the HR organization of approximately 260 employees, which is a critical and highly visible role.

Responsibilities
- Partners with assigned leaders to create and implement HR Strategies to enable the business
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Leads and facilitates local delivery of HR solutions to departments alongside HR specialist staff
- Analyzes and monitors various talent trends and patterns amongst departments supported using data and metrics
- Provides HR policy and employment law guidance and clarification to leaders and manages employee relations issues, including participation in internal investigations and providing recommendations for resolution
- Contributes to organizational design and restructuring efforts to enhance overall effectiveness, proactively supporting the development and implementation of the HR people strategy
- Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience in a Human Resources Business Partner or HR generalist role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in applicable profession (i.e., Human Resources, Industrial & Organizational Psychology), business, or related technical field OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience
- PHR/SPHR Certificate or Senior Prof in HR Certificate Skills, education and experience
- Experience delivering HR solutions within a COE operating model
- Experience providing HRBP support to the HR function (HR for HR) with the proven ability to maintain independence and exercise extreme discretion and discipline
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects and competing demands
- Strong business acumen, critical thinking and analytical skills, and the ability to make thoughtful, data driven decisions
- Ability to create and maintain strong, trusting relationships with others at all levels, including senior level executives
- Hands-on experience driving organizational effectiveness, organizational change, and restructuring initiatives
- Ability to effectively analyze and interpret data and articulate findings and opportunities in a compelling manner
- Ability to effectively liaise, partner, coach, guide, and influence outcomes
Additional Information
- This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
