  • Lead teams of subject matter experts to establish policy positions within CEC, CAISO, CPUC and FERC proceedings focused on system planning, interconnection, and/or energization
  • Author regulatory artifacts including advice letters and comments; develop and present content as SP&E\u2019s representative at regulatory workshops
  • Project manage the implementation of new regulatory requirements by forming cross-organizational implementation teams, communicating the specific regulatory requirements, and guiding the development, vetting, and implementation of new business processes, which may include identifying new or enhanced software capabilities
  • Partner with Regulatory Affairs and various teams with SP&E to ensure SCE\u2019s grid strategies are reflected in policy engagement
  • Represent the company in external working groups and meetings
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ten years of experience in regulatory/policy, technical, strategy, and/or external engagement, with high impact to an organization
  • Experience leading or managing large-scale projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Experience developing, interpreting, and/or implementing regulatory filings
  • Experience working with electric utility distribution, subtransmission, and/or transmission system planning principles, tasks, and analyses.
  • Experience working on Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) policy issues.
  • Experience working with interconnection, specifically Wholesale Distribution Access Tariff (WDAT), Rule 21, and knowledge of Integration Capacity Analysis (ICA).
  • Experience developing and communicating strategy and incorporating it into regulatory policy.
  • Experience project managing one or more large projects with responsibility for results in terms of technical methods or regulatory compliance.
  • Experience writing technical papers used in regulatory filings
  • Experience developing and delivering technical presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Additional Information

  • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.\u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.\u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
