Become an eMobility Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll lead project execution for a program known as Charge Ready Transport (CRT) within SCE's Charge Ready Project Management Organization (PMO), which supports the adoption of medium- and heavy-duty (MDHD) electric vehicles and may support other MDHD transportation electrification programs. The PMO oversees a suite of rebate and infrastructure programs approved by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) that are intended to accelerate electric vehicle adoption and add thousands of new electric vehicle charging stations in SCE's territory in support of California's transportation electrification goals to mitigate climate change. Responsibilities
- Helps to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables. Develop work plans, establish timelines, and set priorities to ensure that resources and efforts are aligned with organizational goals
- Analyze project requirements, break them down into manageable tasks, and allocate work to individuals or teams based on their skills and availability
- Helps in the planning for resources for various projects and initiatives; identify and allocate the necessary personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure that work is adequately resourced
- Collaborate with managers and team leads to optimize resource utilization, balance workloads, and address any resource constraints or bottlenecks that may arise
- Provides support for monitoring the progress of tasks and projects to ensure that work is on track and aligned with established timelines and milestones; uses project management tools or work management software to track task completion, update status, and identify potential risks or delays; regularly communicate progress updates to stakeholders and take appropriate actions to mitigate issues or adjust schedules as needed
- Helps to evaluate work processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization; streamline processes, eliminate bottlenecks, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity; may leverage automation tools or workflow management systems to streamline and automate repetitive tasks
- Helps to identify and manage risks associated with work activities. Assess potential risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and establish contingency plans to minimize the impact of risks on work progress and project outcomes; monitor and address any emerging risks or issues that may affect the successful completion of work
- Assist in anticipating and managing changes that impact work activities; assess the impact of changes, communicate updates to stakeholders, and revise work plans or priorities accordingly; revise work plans or priorities as needed, in response to changes. Collaborate with change management teams to ensure alignment with organizational changes or strategic initiatives
- Helps to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess work performance and productivity; collect and analyze data on work progress, resource utilization, and project outcomes.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, or presentations to provide insights and updates on work performance to stakeholders and management
- Assist in driving a culture of continuous improvement by gathering feedback and lessons learned; supports the implementation of process enhancements to improved work performance and productivity
- Recommends collaboration and knowledge sharing among team members. Identify opportunities for skill development or training and facilitates continuous learning to enhance work performance and productivity
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity
Minimum Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience performing work management processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business, finance, engineering, management, or related field
- Five or more years of project management experience managing contracts, projects, or programs using tools, methods, and practices to establish, maintain and report budget, schedule, and/or status reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Knowledge in transportation electrification
- Knowledge and experience with regulatory policies, regulatory agencies (i.e., CPUC, California Air Resources Board, California Energy Commission, etc.), and/or electric utilities
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with business partners, cross-functional project teams, peers, all levels of management, and external partners
- Strong ethics, influence and negotiation, interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively manage stress and multiple priorities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Customer focused with the ability to understand and appropriately respond to customer's business needs
- Experience in identifying/managing risk and gaps and develop processes and tools to address them
Additional Information
- This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.\u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.\u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
