Become a Customer Programs Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you will work on the Program Integration and Development team to support long-term customer program strategy development. You will work across our portfolio of programs, including traditional programs, such as Energy Efficiency and Demand Response and emerging programs, such as, Building Electrification, Transportation Electrification, Customer Generation, and Income Qualified Programs to advise on how to meet SCE's ambitious Countdown to 2045 goals. As an Advisor, you will be responsible for conducting market research, leading quantitative analyses, collaborating with our program and regulatory affairs partners, and supporting key strategic initiatives across the portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Leads initiatives on energy efficiency and demand response programs to optimize energy usage during peak periods
  • Communicates program events to leadership and senior individual contributors
  • Incorporates complex energy usage data, load patterns, and grid conditions to recommend potential opportunities and optimize program effectiveness
  • Leads meetings with internal teams, such as grid operations, customer service, and marketing, to ensure seamless integration of programs with overall utility operations and customer engagement efforts
  • Recommends compliance and regulatory requirements and guidelines related to programs, including reporting obligations and adherence to program rules and protocols
  • Endorses program cost effectiveness ideas and identify areas for improvement for all program related activities (i.e. training)
  • Leads in meetings with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry associations, and technology providers, to stay informed about industry trends, share best practices, and foster collaboration for the advancement of programs
  • Serves as an expert and training lead for all program related topics
  • Leads engagement activities to promote program related information at outreach events
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Seven or more years of experience in demand response principles, leading customer programs, or conservation/efficiency initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, environmental science, economics, business, mathematics, or related field
  • Experience related to utility programs, such as, transportation electrification, building electrification, energy efficiency, demand response, or equity.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, R, Python) and experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience in data analysis, strategic planning, market research, strategy, or related functions.
  • Excellent in both oral and written communication, including top-notch presentation abilities for leadership interactions.
  • Strong communications skills and an ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

Additional Information

  • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.\u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.\u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
