Become a Community & Climate Equity, Senior Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll be responsible for overseeing the strategy for implementing the strategic and programmatic needs related to new priority areas within the Community and Climate Equity team's engagement with vulnerable communities. You will report to the Senior Manager of CCE in Customer Experience within Customer Service. As a Senior Advisor, you will work closely with the CCE team and other cross-organizational, external-facing departments within SCE to implement engagement strategies targeting specific customer segments. You will also develop and maintain strong strategic partnerships with external partners in environmentally impacted and vulnerable communities to amplify education and outreach efforts. This role will support customer experience through targeted outreach and education to meet priorities and operational objectives related to customer programs. This includes understanding and measuring the Voice of the Customer insights, managing demonstration sites, and serving as a liaison for community engagement. Responsibilities

  • Drives strategy and execution of energy efficiency and demand response programs to optimize energy usage during peak periods
  • Provides expert guidance to leadership on program events and conservation targets
  • Performs highly complex analysis of energy usage data, load patterns, and grid conditions to identify and maximize program opportunities
  • Develops partnerships across functions like operations, customer service, and marketing to successfully implement program requirements
  • Implements compliance strategy and regulatory requirements related to program implementation
  • Evaluates program cost effectiveness and spearheads efforts to identify and implement program enhancements
  • Acts as a subject matter expert on all program related topics with external stakeholders like regulatory agencies and industry groups
  • Stays current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to program implementation
  • Identifies and secures funding and resources to advance program related initiatives
  • Develops and implements training programs to build organizational capabilities
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of experience working with demand response principles, customer programs, or conservation/efficiency initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Communications, Public Administration, Business, Political Science, English, Economics or related field.
  • Project Management or Six Sigma Certification
  • Proven project and program management skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Effective collaborator and problem solver who knows how to network and build effective relationships across various company functions and units.
  • Ability to link engagement plans and activities to business outcomes and partner across the company to deliver on the identified work.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment, under pressure, on multiple concurrent projects and to meet demanding deadlines.

Additional Information

  • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.\u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.\u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
