Become a Campground Operations, Senior Support at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll perform a range of duties, work under supervision in support for Camp Edison/Forestry on SCE Lands, working mainly in an outdoor environment and using tools and equipment for maintaining the recreational property. Camp Edison is located on the western shores of Shaver Lake, a beautiful rural mountain vacation destination. Our 252 campsites are available to the public.
You will play a part in supporting campground upkeep and maintenance at our "Camp Edison" campground. This could involve tasks like maintaining electrical systems at campsites, repairing facilities like restrooms and laundry facilities, managing grounds upkeep, and ensuring overall functionality of the campground.

Key Focus of Role
- Campground Operations Support: Act as a company representative to campers and recreational users in answering basic routine questions. Exercise effective communication & interpersonal skills with fellow co-workers, supervisors, and customers. Perform registration of campers, cash handling and general clerical duties. Address customer needs.
- Campground Upkeep: Perform basic upkeep functions of campground infrastructure, and respond to customer maintenance inquiries (clogged plumbing, electrical diagnosis, camp site cleanliness, etc.). Ensure the cleanliness of restroom and laundry facilities within Camp Edison, as well as in our satellite locations. Provide groundskeeping support throughout Camp Edison. Maintain cleanliness of grounds and facilities within, and on Edison Forestry land.
- Preventive Maintenance: Maintain and make needed repairs to campground infrastructure including but not limited to campground's sewage system, water system, and camp facility buildings. Conduct repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment. Respond to Maintenance inquiries in a timely manner.
- Safety & Emergency Support: Makes routine patrol of campground, providing support, and enforcing campground regulations. Assist with emergencies within campground, following safety procedures as outlined by Southern California Edison's APM as well as adhering to job specific JHA's.
- Additional Duties: Provide functional direction to team members when necessary. Assist Camp Operations and Forestry departments when necessary. Operate Microsoft Office Suite and Camplife registration systems.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair campground infrastructure, including sewage and water systems, and facility buildings.
- Provide functional directions to team members when necessary.
- Assist with Operations and Forestry departments when necessary.
- Operate and train team members on Microsoft Office Suite and Camplife registration systems.
- Act as a company representative to campers and recreational users.
- Perform routine patrol of campground, provide security, and enforce campground regulations.
- Respond to camp visitor requests regarding minor plumbing, electrical or camp site functionality.
- Assist with the registration of campers and perform cash handling and general clerical duties.
- Perform janitorial work including maintaining restroom and laundry facility cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols and coordinate issue resolution with external key island stakeholders.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in customer service, office management, Microsoft Office applications, and trades work such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, janitorial services, and groundskeeping.

Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in a maintenance oriented position or trade position, such as: Plumbing/ Electrical/ Carpentry.
- Experience working as an Office Manager, Park Receptionist, or related Campground Operations position.\u00a0
- Experience and ability to respond to maintenance requests, diagnose and repair, including but not limited to: the repair of shower/sink/ toilet fixtures, water leaks, electrical repairs. Act as team lead in these situations where needed.
- Experience and ability to diagnose and repair sewer system faults within job scope, acting as team lead when necessary. (i.e. pump changeout.)
- Experience in maintaining campground or park facilities.
- Experience and working knowledge of municiple water systems, sewer systems and electrical systems.\u00a0
- \u00a0Willingness and ability to drive, traverse on uneven surfaces, occasionally lift up to 40 lbs, sit/ stand for extended periods of time, and work in various weather conditions.
- Experience and ability to work directly with public and maintain quality customer relations.
- Ability to follow detailed directions.
- Experience and ability using effective communication skills, with fellow co-workers, combined with the ability to provide functional direction when appropriate.
- One or more years of experience with basic proper hand and power tool usage.
- One or more years of experience with basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing skills.
- One or more years of experience with basic Honey Wagon operation, and Tent Trailer setup/ procedures.
- Experience operating equipment such as front loader, skid steer, etc.
- Experience maintaining camp facilities, including light janitorial duties, cleaning picnic areas, and grounds keeping.

- This position\u2019s work mode is\u00a0on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location.\u00a0 Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
