You'll be responsible for conducting comprehensive safety incident reviews, advancing contractor safety education programs, and collaborating with various departments to ensure operational safety and efficiency. You will also be accountable for monitoring contractor performance, coordinating monthly evaluations, leading contract launch meetings, managing safety reporting systems, and performing field safety observations. You will play a critical part in maintaining high accountability and safety standards, enabling the team to effectively navigate its expanded scope of services while ensuring optimal contractor performance and compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities

  • Provides input to safety policy development and implements safety policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations
  • Creates safety training programs for employees to ensure a safe working environment and works with leaders to ensure compliance with regulations and alignment with company expectations
  • Collaborates with leaders, staff, and contractors at all levels to implement effective solutions, overseeing the ongoing cycle of risk management efforts
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of current and emerging legislation, regulations and trends related to EHS
  • Provides oversight of incident investigations and corrective actions and ensures adequate corrective measures are implemented to prevent a recurrence
  • Leads, facilitates and implements project hazard analysis and risk assessment process across the company
  • Conducts training and presentations for EHS matters and accident prevention
  • Provides oversight and guidance related to hazard identification and risk mitigation
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of experience leading and developing health and safety compliance programs, activities and systems.
  • Posses a valid Class C Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal aviation training.
  • Experience in helicopter operations.
  • Experience with aviation safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with frontline employees to leadership level.

Additional Information

  • This position's work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

  • The primary work location for this position is Chino, CA. However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time throughout the service territory.
  • Position will require up to 50% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
  • This position has an option for a 9/80 Alternate Work Schedule or 40hrs/5 days a week.
  • Relocation does not apply to this position.
