THE ROLE
As Global Systems Lead, you will act as the primary lead for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our enterprise systems in support of our global business operations. While acting as a hands-on manager of our fulltime systems team and project vendors, you will collaborate closely with the IT leadership team to help plan and execute a vision for our future architecture and technical operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and act as a hands-on administrator of our global enterprise environment including our server and cloud infrastructure, mail and messaging systems, storage and backup tools, MDM and endpoint management services, and a variety of widely-deployed SaaS tools
- Manage teammates and contractors supporting in the administration and support of our global systems environment
- Oversee consultants and vendors maintaining our AWS and database environments
- Guide processes for updates, patching, maintenance, and life cycles management of devices
- Draft and update technical documentation at both a user guide and administration level.
- Collaborate with IT Leadership team on road map and organization planning
- Work with team to identify, manage and optimize enterprise technology efficiencies, including ensuring resilience of IT systems and infrastructure
- Assist with the coordination of global IT service activities to ensure tool, data, and systems availability with as little downtime as necessary
- Share knowledge and best practices with others while always leading by example
IDEAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
- 3+ years experience of leading enterprise IT systems engineering in hybrid environments (i.e. On-prem, AWS, and SaaS), and managing the respective team or teams
- 5+ years experience as an administrator of Microsoft tooling including ActiveDirectory, O365, RDS, Intune, Windows OS
- 10+ years of professional experience supporting and delivering enterprise IT and infrastructure solutions
- Experience with both on-prem and cloud-based storage and backup systems (direct experience with Nasuni is a bonus)
- Experience with mail and messaging systems including security tooling (direct experience with Outlook and Mimecast is preferred)
- Familiarity with Okta administration in an environment also leveraging ActiveDirectory for identity and access management
- The ability to find the balance between cost optimization and performance
- A track record for delivery in a high-growth, rapidly changing environment
- Project management experience
- Additional experience with one or more of the following technologies: AWS, Google Workspace, MacOS, NetApp, NetBackup, Retrospect, MacOS, Google Workspace, Slack, Xinet WebNative
