We are looking for our next Warehouse Manager. You will manage the warehouse team to facilitate moving product throughout the warehouse using equipment in areas such as Receiving, Stocking, Shipping, Order Processing and Replenishment. Responsibilities will include operating equipment in a safe manner, while maintaining a safe and clean working area and ensuring that our product is in perfect condition and ready for our customers. The successful candidate will have the desire to work in a fast-past, organized, and positive warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities listed below are encompassing of a Warehouse Manager, but not limited to these areas:

  • Ensure associates are appropriately trained in all aspects of the warehouse and quality control.
  • Works with branch management to implement best practices and create continuous process improvement.
  • Balance staffing needs while fulfilling customer orders.
  • Motivate and coach employees to meet productivity and efficiency goals.
  • Determine staffing needs, schedule personnel, and assign job duties.
  • Interview, hire, and train new associates.
  • Implement succession planning for self and other critical roles on the team.
  • Able to complete all necessary duties within the warehouse including:
    • Receiving duties
    • Picker/Packer Duties
    • Loading Duties
    • Wire Cutting
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ensure staff/facility comply with all company and safety policies, procedures, and regulations. This includes the completion of ongoing OSHA training requirements.
  • Manage the Driver Qualification Files (DQF) with the DOT.
  • Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties.
  • Complete other duties, as needed, to successfully run the warehouse.

Skills/Requirements:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of Company personnel and outside vendors.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to relate to other departments' needs and concerns while still being able to accomplish the Company's goals.
  • Strong managerial and leadership skills, ability to motivate team and manage conflict.
  • Supervisory skills-ability to manage staffing, performance review decisions, mentor and supervise development of staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficiency in computer skills
  • Ability to handle pressure
  • Strong reasoning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and reach trucks.
  • Knowledge of warehouse technology including the use of RF guns and warehouse inventory software.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Exercises safety in all aspects of carrying out job responsibilities.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (i.e. safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed or composite shoes) as required for the assigned work area.

Required Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands & Work Environment
The below characteristics are representative of those typically encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

Physical Demands:

Continuous mental and visual alertness to maintain safety and achieve accuracy. Requires flexibility and mobility in body movements. Frequently requires standing, walking, occasionally lifting up to 50lbs. with assistance, bending, climbing, reaching with arms, and constant use of hands.

Work Environment:

The warehouse consists primarily of rows of large upright racks on a hard surface flooring. Most work is performed on pallet jacks, forklifts, and order pickers. Working temperatures can fluctuate depending on seasonal weather.
