This position is responsible for the pre/post-sales support of Rockwell Automation Motor Control Centers for both low voltage and medium voltage, as well as complementary power products and related services. This includes working closely with end-user customers, specifying engineering firms, and system integrators to specify Rockwell Automation products and services for both commercial and industrial projects. This is an Outside Technical Sales/Support position, which requires providing solutions to internal and external customers regarding motor control centers and related services.

This also includes reading electrical one-lines, initiating, and completing project take-offs, preparing quotations, working with internal teams/associates and external customers on the technical attributes of the motor control center product line and related services. This position is also responsible for the marketing and business planning of the Rockwell Automation Motor Control Center business for North Coast. Additionally, the expectation of the MCC Specialist is to fully support our Services business as part of their day-to-day activities. The resource requirements for the MCC Specialist are driven by the revenue generated in the MCC planning segment.

What You Will Do:

  • Working closely with manufacturer sales engineers to get product and related services specified.
  • Active role of being involved with your customer's future manufacturing designs.
  • Outside Sales Specialist position focused on Rockwell Motor Control Centers and related. services.
  • Develop technical promotional activities to support market objectives.
  • Provide training classes for customer base and associates.
  • Execute goals to meet sales objectives.
  • Work with customers on pre-sales support as well as post-sales support.
  • Quotation preparation for above products as needed for customer.
  • Sales and Marketing lead for our Motor Control Center business planning and marketing.
  • Analyze and document market conditions, competitive offerings and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Be able to articulate Rockwell Automation's value proposition in the Motor Control Centers space; both commercially and technically.
  • Exceed North Coast growth goals in business revenue, gross margin and management objectives.
  • Support a sufficient funnel in the Motor Control Center business space to meet/exceed growth goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What Will You Bring:

  • Strong written, verbal, and listening skills.
  • Electrical background and motor control experience.
  • Motor and Industrial Control experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • People oriented and a team player
  • Desire to develop a strong understanding of Rockwell hardware and related services offerings
  • AA, BA, industrial/technology diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of power and motor control systems.
  • Able to read an electrical one-line diagram.
  • Knowledge around Rockwell Automation's Intelligent Motor Control is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal communications, analytical and problem solving, organizational and written/verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to influence and guide team members when required.

  • Frequent computer and telephone use

  • Some travel required

Salary & Compensation:

  • This position is an exempt position and not subject to overtime.
  • Pay is $91,500 to $116,700 annually, DOE.
