Quality Assurance Supervisor
Location: Katy, TX

Schedule: 9 AM - 5pm, hours may vary
What You'll Do
Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor will lead the development and execution of the QA framework within Crawford Electric Supply's central distribution facility. This role is pivotal in establishing and maintaining quality standards, collaborating closely with the Quality Control (QC) team, and driving initiatives for operational excellence and customer satisfaction. The QA Supervisor will oversee a team of 2-3 QA Coordinators, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and the broader organizational objectives.
- Build and Manage QA Framework:
- Establish the QA department, including protocols, workflows, and performance metrics.
- Ensure alignment and collaboration with the QC team to maintain consistency across quality initiatives.
- Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) specific to QA functions.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Supervise QA and QC Coordinators, delegating responsibilities and fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members, ensuring they are equipped to meet performance goals.
- Audit Management:
- Design and implement regular QA audits to evaluate processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with QC personnel to address non-conformances identified during audits.
- Develop metrics and KPIs to track the success of audits and corrective actions.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
- Partner with QC personnel to analyze trends in Customer Service Issues (CSI) and root causes.
- Propose and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring errors and improve process efficiency.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Reporting and Metrics:
- Oversee the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly Quality reports, summarizing audit findings, CSI trends, and corrective actions.
- Present data-driven insights to leadership to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Ensure seamless communication and collaboration to resolve quality issues within designated timeframes.
- Participate in periodic review meetings to align Quality strategies with departmental and organizational goals.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in quality management, operations, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality and/or service assurance or quality control, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC principles, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action planning.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using WMS tools and software (Preferably Solar Eclipse /ETerm
