Job Summary
Responsible for building and maintaining commercial relationships and servicing new and existing customers respective to the Lighting product category. This role will directly engage, and support other sales representatives in engaging, sales opportunities through prospecting and qualifying leads, upgrading current customers, promoting products and services, and closing sales.

The Lighting Solutions Manager is accountable for individual results and the attainment of team goals respective to Lighting. He/she will work under the direction of the Regional Sales Manager and coordinate regularly with Branch Management, Account Managers, and internal sales and logistics teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responds to requests from customers and salespersons on matters pertaining to the application and operation of Lighting equipment, offering solutions which accurately fit stated or prospective customer needs.
- Consults with potential customers regarding their needs and opportunities and present solutions that meet their needs by emphasizing marketable features, pricing and shipping options, and credit terms.
- Readily decipher and represent the make, type, and quality of merchandise desired through expertise regarding product-specific use, vendor, inventory levels and lead times, catalog and catalog number, and other reference materials.
- Acquires, uses and continuously develops personal technical knowledge of general and specialty Lighting products to assist customers and other company personnel.
- Learn and navigate internal order entry software programs, including but not limited to inventory inquiry, history, and order entry.
- Identifies and uses appropriate company and/or customer pricing systems.
- Establishes or improves relationships with customers to better understand and support outside sales initiatives.
- Provides verbal and written quotations or estimates of prices, terms and delivery for standard, complex or non-standard merchandise.
- Prepares cash or charge sales tickets with required identification, necessary information for processing, shipment, and delivery of merchandise in a timely manner. Follows up with any specific record-keeping requirements.
- Estimates delivery schedules for customers based on knowledge of logistics processes.
- Assists in customer credit issues as directed.
- Reviews complaints concerning billing or products sold, partnering with designated departments for investigation and resolution.
- Prepares correspondence and reports necessary for business transactions.
- Keeps accurate record of expenses to be reimbursed and submitted in a timely fashion.
- Work with Purchasing teams to resolve any potential inventory obsolescence problems as directed.
- Practices good interpersonal relations, using tact, courtesy, and goodwill toward customers and co-workers at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications, data sets, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports and provide analysis of technical information in business correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to develop and present specialized instruction concerning Lighting equipment.
- Ability to function as an effective team member to multiple stakeholders including management, sales and logistics teams, and corporate services departments.
- Proficiency within Microsoft software suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.; B.S.) or equivalent from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience using the Eclipse ERP platform.
