Title:Counter Sales Associate
Location: Mattoon, IL
Job type: Full time
Schedule: 7:00am - 4:00pm; 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday
Hourly Pay: $20.00 - $22.00/hour
What You'll Do
As a Counter Sales Associate, you help contractors purchase electrical products at our branch. You're the friendly face they see when they enter our location, helping them get what they need and get back to the job site. If you like interacting with customers and learning about different products, you could be a good candidate for this position.
On a typical day you will:
- Take orders by phone or through email
- Greet and assist customers who enter the branch
- Retrieve orders from the warehouse that are ready to be picked up
- Work with our customers to fulfill pre-order requests
- May provide product information to customers (product training provided)
- Upsell complementary products to customers during visit/call

What You'll Bring:
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to lift and carry objects that may weigh up to 50 pounds (moving with equipment)
- Basic computer skills for entering orders
- Willingness to learn about our products through on-the-job training, we offer you a defined electrical distribution training program (EDGE and EPEC)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred, but not required:
- Previous sales or retail experience
- Previous customer service experience
