Job Summary:
The Branch Inventory Planner is responsible for overseeing the overall inventory of branch products, including data and system management, stock assessment, and product lifecycle management. This role ensures optimal stock mix--primary focus on top 250 items--and assortment, communicates needs for large project buys, and maintains service levels across assigned branches.

What You'll DO:
- Overall, Health (Data and System): Monitor and manage product data and systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Stock Assessment: Conduct category stock assessments, including turns, stock risks, and on-hand dollar evaluations. Assess branch stock assortments for optimal sales.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Manage product lifecycle stages, including replacements, obsolescence, and discontinuations.
- New Stock Requests: Initiate new stock requests for branches or territories.
- Large Project Buys: Coordinate and plan large project buys or bulk buys with the buying team.
- Service Level Monitoring: Monitor branch and network fill rates and service level risks.
- Product Maintenance: Manage product buy pack/sell pack maintenance and service level settings.
- Maintain product min/max levels, product stock flags, and other settings.
- Coordinate the execution thereof with Sonepar (SUSA) as required.
- Vendor and Rep Relations: Evaluate and align with suppliers and representatives.
- Product File Maintenance: Request and direct the update of product file front screens, including descriptions, units of measures, price lines, buy lines, keywords, and index types as needed.
- Maintain product file service levels and manage product conversions or
consolidations. - EDI Setup and Maintenance: Oversee EDI setup and maintenance for buy lines and product files.
- POS Reporting: Set up and maintain POS reporting.
What You'll Bring:
- Five (5) years min. electrical industry experience.
- Preferred bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in inventory management, procurement, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- 40-hour work week Monday through Friday, however, based on business needs evening, overnight stay and weekend hours may occasionally be required
- Requires punctual regular and reliable on-site attendance
- Prolonged sitting, ability to use hands and fingers for typing and manipulating computer devices, reaching for items on a desk,
- Occasional standing, walking, and good vision for close-up work on screens.
