UK Head of Event Operations & Sales (Maternity Cover)

The Role…

The role is responsible for the proactive drive of sales, curation, organisation and management of events in the UK Houses. You’ll provide support and Leadership to the Events managers and wider team in the regions of London, Country (Babington House and Soho Farmhouse) and Brighton and ensure a seamless and speedy enquiry and booking process for all our spaces

 

Main Duties..

  • Through our existing events network, your own contacts, and the ability to make new ones, sell, plan and execute the production of events across the UK
  • Guide and develop the existing events team to support overall sales and events planning ensuring we are offering a product which is best in class
  • Maintain a strong organisational presence across events, whilst also delegating to team members and the operations team when not present
  • Maintain up to date web pages and communications for all events spaces across Soho Works, our Houses and public restaurants in the UK
  • Partner with the Membership and Communications team to ensure our members are always thinking of our spaces for their needs, whether a business meeting, product launch, work dinner or celebration Working closely with the Head of Events UK and the Members Events Managers at the Houses and the wider operational team, ensure that spaces are booked and function sheets are produced ahead of all events
  • Work towards monthly budgets for all events, outlining all expenditures where incurred, including detailed budgets for large scale events
  • Take a forward looking view to budgets and pipeline to deliver budgets each quarter and maintain business levels across the year
  • Produce all timelines and risk assessments where necessary
  • Where necessary, work weekends and public holidays when creating and organising larger scale events and special occasions
  • Have comprehensive knowledge of current and future trends, ensuring events remain appealing and competitive
  • Ensure all events are organised and planned in time for deadlines and communicated appropriately at site level

What we’re looking for...

  • A proven F&B, sales and events track record, consistently delivering a great experience to guests and exceeding financial targets
  • Strong management skills
  • Proficiency in organisation, problem solving and communication
  • Expert knowledge of Tripleseat preferable
  • Must be flexible to work according to the events requirements including evenings and weekends when needed
  • Ability to multitask and work towards targets in a fast-paced environment, whilst being resilient and capable of managing stressful situations
  • Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint) experience
