Solutions Architect

The Role…

You will be working with a cross-functional technical and product team to drive the Soho House technology landscape forward. You will ensure the technology vision is aligned to the current Soho House digital transformation, considering Soho House & Co’s structure and ambitions as well as understand how we iterate to make this a financially viable estate. Develop clear metrics to the goals and get commitment across the group for 2-3 year roadmap and budget in principle.

In collaboration with stakeholders across the group, and with Director of engineering , other architects and technology partners you will support the technology roadmap execution. It is vital that communication to direct management and business leads is appropriate and timely. You will be required to advice /guide technical teams on solutions and project approach and play an active overseeing role through all phases of delivery.

The role will be based at the London Support Office, is part of the Digital Engineering team with whom you will work to deliver the group initiatives in a fit for purpose, cost conscious manner, repurposing deliveries/modules that are already in place. This is a role that requires an individual who can work independently and take accountability and who are authentic and driven.

Main Duties…

• Take ownership of the full life cycle of Soho Houses’ technical product portfolio;
• Work with Product, Technology etc Managers to understand their (product) roadmaps;
• Work with Engineering Leadership, other Architects and technology team leaders to shape technical and functional architecture;
• In collaboration with senior technical leaders create and own the technical strategy and technical product roadmap that will support the wider business and product roadmap;
• Work with the teams to execute their roadmap, support with writing user stories, acceptance criteria and carry out UAT;
• Collaborate on and design UI interfaces for in house built technical tools;
• Manage Product, Technology, etc managers’ expectations, being transparent and ensuring that impediments and risks are communicated in a timely way;
• Manage tech-debt in a pragmatic way, ensuring that the organisation can move with speed and agility;
• Contribute to build vs buy analysis and discussions, identifying risks to the business, compatibility with the direction of the technical product roadmap and ROI;
• Produce appropriate documentation for all projects you participate in;
• Ensure compliance and security are top of mind and are documented throughout all stages;
• Contribute to strategic programmes such as Finance Transformation and Payments Transformation

What We Are Looking For...

• Expert understanding of cloud technology
• Understanding of (enterprise) integration layers
• Experience with back-office technology transformation
• Involvement with large scale ERP deployment and active participant in the solutioning
• Abreast of new technology innovations and able to communicate opportunities internally
• Pragmatic in solutioning (we are £ conscious as a business); technology agnostic
• Familiar with various methodologies and architectural practices
• Excel in large scale transformation with required familiarity with the architecture discipline
• A champion of using technology to improve business outcomes
• Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to get the job done
• Able to communicate effectively and credibly
