The role…
Based in Manhattan and reporting to the Corporate Controller- Americas, the Accounts Payable Manager will manage day-to-day accounts payable operations for the North America region. The role is responsible for overseeing vendor management; including invoice processing, validation, approvals and suggested weekly payments, and will be critical in monitoring workflows, processes and internal controls related to the P2P cycle.
- Monitor the invoice and payment process activities, management of team workflows and communication.
- Responsible for monitoring of ticketing system and ensuring timely communication between accounts payable team and internal/external partners.
- Primary point of contact for vendor payment escalations and follow-up with A/P Supervisors.
- Build effective relationships with Treasury, Accounting, Procurement and Operations to create a best-in class AP function.
- Develop goals/KPIs for AP function, monitoring progress and issuing weekly reporting to key stakeholders.
- Responsible for month end close process related to A/P function and reconciliation of related accounts.
- Ensure timely delivery of all audit requirements related to accounts payable requests.
- Identify deficiencies and gaps in current process and plan for improvement.
- Provide leadership in transformation efforts related to new systems integrations and ERP implementation.
- Responsible for monitoring of internal controls related to the A/P function.

Required Skills/Qualifications
- Experience- minimum 10 years, with at least 5 years of experience overseeing large teams and 5 strong years of implementation of ERP/automated platforms, and notable experience successfully navigating from a manual operating environment to automation.
- Industry- The ideal candidate would have experience in the hospitality, retail and/or CPG industries. In addition, experience working in a public company environment, multi-location or multi-business unit experience.
- Technical Skills- Academic background in accounting, finance or related field is required. In addition, relevant experience with SOX audits and control remediation.
- Software Skills- Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), including advanced excel modeling/query skills a must. Direct experience with automated A/P platforms and ERP implementation required.
- Team- Strong change management skills, with ability to lead the team through multiple steps of process improvement and new ways of working, specifically moving from a significant level of manual processes to automation. Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment and possess the skills to rapidly execute change.

- Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
- Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
- Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others.
- Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 40 pounds.
- Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.
