Based in Manhattan and reporting to the Accounting Manager, Americas, The Experienced Senior Accountant for Soho House is responsible for reconciliation and transactional finance including preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, intercompany postings, and reporting schedules.
Main Duties...
- Assist in the month-end closing process and ensure reporting deadlines are adhered to.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure proper resolutions are communicated.
- Recording of expense line items and maintenance of supporting schedules that tie back to journals recorded.
- Completion of various controls processes in a SOX compliant environment required as a public company.
- Recording other GL entries on a weekly basis to process transactions of the business.
- Assist Accounting Manager, Americas with supporting schedules for required monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
- Helping to identify and implement financial process improvements.
- Supporting the Accounting Manager, Americas in gathering support for audit activities.
- Other ad hoc roles and projects as required.

Requirements...
- Experience- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. 3+ years’ experience in managerial accounting and financial management in a hospitality, retail or CPG industry is highly preferred.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Technical Skills- Strong technical accounting skills and understanding of US GAAP reporting and other requirements of regulations and statutes such as Sarbanes-Oxley. CPA or parts passed, preferred.
- Software Skills- Advanced Excel skills associated with large volumes of data, data management and reporting. Familiarity with accounting ERP systems.
- Candidate must be a pro-active, self-starter with a problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks concurrently

In accordance with New York law, the salary range for this role if filled within New York is listed below. The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

$80,000—$100,000 USD
