The Role…

The Private Events Responsible at Soho House will oversee the planning and execution of private events at the property- The role involves building strong relationships with clients and partners, ensuring high-quality event delivery. The position requires a hands-on leader who is willing to engage directly in events and manage all aspects of event logistics, staffing, and budget.

Main Duties…

  • Overseeing and driving of an inclusive environment that ensures every member and team member both feels and embodies the Soho House Pillars and Values
  • Implementing, overseeing and understanding the commercial viability of your business
  • Effective hands-on day to day management and problem solving both front and back of house operations

Performance standards

  • As Events Sales representative you will have a detailed knowledge of the menu and drinks menu at Soho Farmhouse Ibiza and its concepts.
  • Detailed knowledge of all facilities, its capacities and possibilities regarding events.
  • Managing all key event client corporate relationships and communications, conducting event space promotional pushes using commercial mailing lists and driving new business solicitation through research, meetings, pitches, sales events and distribution of collateral, as well as helping to create bespoke offers, events and initiatives to increase event-based revenue.
  • Have always a professional handling towards our guests, members and employees.
  • Ensuring that the guest had a pleasant stay and resolve inconveniences as far as possible.
  • Independently handling and planning of events from the request to the booking of the event.
  • Assisting and supporting site-based event sales staff, as well as putting together proactive strategies for pushing event sales. Helping generate event sales collateral and managing business relationships with commission-led event planners and companies.
  • With input from the GM, identify the event spaces in the business that need promotional support to generate additional sales. Suggest and create promotional activity in the form of offers, value added incentives, bespoke events, direct meetings and mail outs etc. to drive sales enquiries and conversions for these spaces.
  • Be a primary point of contact for external business ‘clients’ of the group who spend significant revenue in our events spaces. Establish relationships with key new clients across different industry sectors and attend booked events to reinforce client service relationships.
  • Organize face to face meetings with new contacts and clients to explain our event space portfolio, business practices and current sales priorities.
  • Compile a weekly report on the progress of each week’s sales leads, meeting outcomes and action points, as well as a tally of current and anticipated (pipeline) event sales volume.
  • Build and maintain viable commercial databases across all relevant industries for e-mail and postal promotions of group collateral, offers, events and incentives. Aim to add new contacts to the database per week.
  • Create and deliver event sales presentations for large corporate groups, travel agents, etc. 
  • Make a point of knowing all major Ibiza based events - award shows, cultural events etc and forge relationships with organizers to secure ancillary business.
  • Handle all relevant, centrally coordinated contracts and agreements with external companies and clients for facilitating private hire business.
  • Identify what bespoke collateral (both physical and digital) the business needs, as it evolves, to effectively sell events spaces for weddings, meetings, parties, dinners, or interviews to corporate clients and the public.
  • Contribute thoughts and feedback to the Head of Membership and Communications on sales materials generated.
  • Work on sales and promotional activity for Health events and corporate sales as required. Help with creating and expanding databases and conducting meetings with potential new client companies.
  • Take part in Marketing/Communications and events brainstorms to contribute ideas. 
  • Participate in specific projects as per the GM indications.

Requirements / Qualifications...

  • Up to 3-5 years’ experience in a busy hospitality venue.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships (internal and external)
