The Role…
We are currently looking for a Payroll Assistant to join our finance team at our London Support Office! Covering a high-volume, weekly payroll for four companies based in the UK whilst reporting in to the Payroll Manager.
Main Duties...
- Accurate execution of high-volume weekly payroll for 4 companies through Dayforce System.
- Checking all employees are set in the correct company.
- Processing statutory SMP, SPP, and SSP payments and ensuring enhancement pay is processed accurately as per the policy.
- Setting up payroll payments and deduction as required.
- Input and management of court orders and child maintenance orders, including payments.
- Liaising with third parties eg HMRC, court order providers.
- Understanding holiday calculations and ensuring employees are paid accurately.
- Supporting in checking and processing tronc payments.
- Analysing timesheets in detail and highlighting all discrepancies, errors, and variances. Following up with sites and ensuring corrections are made in a timely manner.
- Setting up deductions and cancellations on gym benefit.
- Accurate administration of pension, contributions, opt outs, opt ins, refunds etc.
- Assisting in preparing payroll reports.
- Liaising with Dayforce system provider on Cases raised and following up.
- Completing ONS statistic forms.
- Preparing statement of earnings when requested.
- Managing payroll email inbox, ensuring all queries are responded in a timely manner.
- Support with any other adhoc tasks as required.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail is required
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll information.

What We Are Looking For...
- Have at least 2 year’s Payroll experience.
- Have knowledge of UK employment law and payroll legislation.
- Have strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
- Be proficient in using excel.
- Demonstrate resilience and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise effectively whilst meeting deadlines under pressure.
- Have knowledge of Dayforce System (desirable, not essential)
- Be able to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and customers, through timely, effective communication.
