The Role...

Based in Manhattan and reporting to the Senior Payroll Manager- North America, the Payroll Analyst is responsible for transactional payroll processing, journal entries and payroll reporting for the North America Region.

  • Assist with transactional processing of weekly payroll for 22+ houses across North America.
  • Processing of payroll payments and deductions.
  • Timecard review and follow-up on missed punches and/or discrepancies.
  • Send out payroll previews and reporting for approval.
  • Processing of final pay for California employees in accordance with state requirements.
  • Assist with weekly audit of 401K changes in Paycom and Principal.
  • Work with a high degree of integrity and confidentiality with adherence to SOX compliance requirements.
  • Reconciliation of tips and gratuities with allocation platform and POS systems.
  • Processing of off cycle check calculations.
  • Assist with garnishments and other legal obligations related to payroll.
  • Audit tax setup and pay rate in accordance with approved payroll documentation.
  • Participate in month end close process including payroll journal preparation, payroll accruals and reconciliation of payroll accounts.
  • Assist Senior Payroll Manager and Senior Payroll Analyst with projects, issue resolution and ad hoc items as needed.

Minimum Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or human resources preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a payroll role, working with multiple entities and payroll template profiles.
  • Experience in hospitality industry strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Paycom preferred.
  • Pro-active and a self-starter, with an ability to manage workload in a condensed timeframe.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills associated with large volumes of data.

In accordance with New York law, the salary range for this role if filled within New York is listed below. The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
