The role…

Based in Manhattan and reporting to the Corporate Controller- Americas, the Finance Systems Project Manager will oversee the progression and implementation of finance related IT projects in the Americas. Candidate must have experience working in a highly manual environment and possess skills to guide the finance team through automation and multiple concurrent implementations. In addition, this role will lead development of a local data warehouse in coordination with Soho House IT team and Finance team partners. This is a hybrid finance/IT role.

  • Project manage successful implementation of finance and revenue team integrations and platforms, including simplification of current ERP structure, integration of POS systems, banking platform and automated A/P.
  • Liaison between internal IT teams and finance team partners to execute system design, testing and maintenance after Go Live for multiple projects.
  • Effectively eliminate blockers impeding velocity of project and ensure deliverables assigned to the finance team are met according to timeline to keep the projects in motion.
  • Identify training needs and develop tailored plans to ensure end users are effectively and efficiently using the systems after deployment.
  • Participate in weekly update meetings and have ability to assess project requirements, from both an IT perspective and finance perspective.
  • Manage all projects from initial planning stage, design, user acceptance testing, deployment and successful adaptation.
  • Provide weekly updates to Corporate Controller and CFO on progress for each project and risks to timeline of completion.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure design and testing are robust for platform functionality.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Experience- 10+ years with hands-on project management experience related to IT platforms.
  • Industry- The ideal candidate would have experience in the hospitality, retail and/or CPG industries. In addition, experience working in a public company environment, multi-location or multi-business unit experience.
  • Technical Skills- Academic background in Computer Science or Management Information Systems with a concentration in Finance or Accounting.
  • Extensive experience with implementation of technology platforms, including ERP systems, automated accounts payable, payroll and POS systems.
  • Exemplary project management skills with demonstrated experience successfully managing communication cross-functionally and cross-departmental on complex projects.
  • Must possess strong change management and communication skills and excel with creatively managing change in a complex organizational and finance systems structure.
  • Responsible for maintaining data warehouse, with frequent review of reporting, team needs and evolution of data in line with business growth.
  • Software skills- Expert in Microsoft Excel and ability to work with large data sets. In addition, experience with building financial reporting from defined data sets. 
  • Query optimization- optimize queries and data retrieval processes to enhance performance and ensure timely delivery of insights.
  • Experience with Alteryx a plus.
  • Experience with Power Bi or similar platform a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
  • Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others.
  • Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 40 pounds.
  • Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.

In accordance with New York law, the salary range for this role if filled within New York is listed below. The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
