Sodexo is seeking a Sous Chef for Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross, Georgia .Memorial Satilla Health is a 231-bed, full service, acute care medical facility that has been providing high quality medical care to the greater Waycross community and southeast Georgia region for more than 60 years.

What You'll Do

The Sous Chefwill support a team of frontline culinary associates and be responsible for all back of the house operations in retail, catering and patient services.

  • Directly manage retail and catering cooks. Maintains all staff schedules. Covers schedules on an as needed basis.
  • Responsible for yearly evaluation and goals for cooks.
  • Implementation and standardization of all culinary systems and procedures for unit through the direction of system wide initiatives.
  • Manages all aspects of the retails and catering menu.
  • Conducts walk through of all areas.
  • Maintains the Food Management System.

What You Bring

  • Energetic, polished culinary professional with high end catering and dining experience and a passion for culinary arts.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and engaging a culinary team and exceptional human resource and supervisory/management skillset.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to multiple audiences and develop strong relationships with customers
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, food cost management, purchasing, inventory and labor management concepts.
  • Ability to successfully lead, develop and train a team.
  • Proficient computer skills as well as exceptional organizational and customer services skills.
  • Servsafe certified as well as working knowledge of HACCP and experience with Health and Safety audits.
