Sodexo Campus Dining is seeking an experienced Hands-On Sous Chef to support our Executive Chef in our Seattle Pacific University Student Dining program, overseeing production team for multiple stations. SPU serves over 600 students on meal plans, multiple meals per day. Sodexo has a long term partnership with the University and works together to create exceptional dining experiences for all our guests on a daily basis.
Campus Dining follows college calendar - promoting work/life balance. No late nights. Most holidays off.

Note: This Sous Chef would need to have flexibility in schedule. Shift: Sunday - Thursday. Several day shifts and several evening shifts 5:30 am - 2:00 or 11:30 - 8:00
What You'll Do
Is this the Opportunity you have been seeking? As Sous Chef, you will:
- oversee Student Resident Dining - multiple food stations,
- ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
- have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
- ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance.

What You Bring
Are You the One? We are looking for candidates who have:
- 3-5 years cooking experience in high volume production cooking. Prev Higher Education, Hospitals or production kitchens background preferred.
- experience supervising, developing, training and leading a team of cooks in a kitchen through prepping and production.
- think on their feet - problem solve - not afraid to ask questions.
- working knowledge of automated Ordering/Inventory systems.
