Role Overview
Sodexo, Inc.: Senior Solutions Architect - North Bethesda, MD
DUTIES:
- Design and implement IT systems across applications, defining all or parts of the system's technical architecture.
- Ensure that the entire IT system is consistent and sustainable by making full use of options available within the industry as part of the company's functional architecture plan
- Design the structure of new technology systems, oversee the implementation of programs, and liaise with the software development team or the software vendor.
- Establish target security architecture for Group platforms and make sure systems will be securely integrated with current applications.
- Oversee his/her team's daily activities of design, build, integration and run.
- Define the technical architecture for the information system(s), taking to account the context.
- Align the technical architecture to global EA reference and global standard systems.
- Check and analyze the technical impacts of new solutions and whether they fit in with existing architecture.
- Design the technical architecture with a focus on user experience, scalability, standardization, costs and security.
- Define and manage the IS reference framework in terms of: tools, procedures, standards, vocabulary, security, etc.
- Define and manage technical standards
- For all new projects or technologies, take part in assessing the impact on existing or planned infrastructure and recommend technical solutions to maintain consistency throughout this period of change.
- Advise functional planners on the possible use and implementations of IT and telecoms tools.
- Manage technology monitoring choices.
- Interact with the Community of Practice in his field of expertise
- Work as a team with the Functional Architect
- Promote technical architecture to IT staff

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, MIS or in a closely related technical field followed by five years of progressively responsible systems architecture experience.
Experience must include:
- 3 years' experience with Integration platforms.
- 5 years' experience with healthcare or similar systems, business concepts and fundamentals.
- 5 years' experience with food, retail or patient technology solutions.
- 5 years' experience in Application Development and IT Infrastructure.
- 3 years of Project Management and Technical Resource Management experience.
- 3 years of experience with Infrastructure Performance measurement.
- 3 years of experience with Capacity Management (Service Delivery).
- 5 years of experience with Systems Integration and Technical Impact Assessment.
Up to 100% telecommuting authorized; position may be performed anywhere in the US and up to 5% domestic travel.
SALARY: $147,784 - $164,200/year
