Role Overview

Sodexo has an opening for a Senior Manager, Payroll, to manage the daily functions of the Sodexo Payroll Operations team in the preparation of wage and salary payroll for ADP platform including time & labor system maintenance. This position will also oversee the customer service call desk; electronic distributions; government reporting; accountable for state and federal compliance and internal controls. This position also leads process improvement efforts, procedures, policies and deliverables.

This is a hybrid position with the potential for fully remote, reporting to our Cheektowaga office.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee payroll staff and ensure service levels are maintained
  • Support payroll projects & initiatives
  • Senior point person for escalated issues from Field operations, HR and outside unit resources

What You Bring

The ideal candidate will have the following preferred skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of technical payroll experience
  • CPP (Certified Payroll professional) certification highly desired
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing others
  • Strong technical knowledge as it relates to payroll processes
  • Experience with multi-state payroll processing, including time and labor system (ADP or Kronos preferred) and staff management required.
  • Excellent communication skills, as this role interacts with all levels within the organization
  • Strong customer service skills and easy to adapt to change

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 5 years

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in a payroll processing environment or a related field
