This role will work a hybrid schedule averaging three days in the office and two days from home plus ten work From anywhere days, in the U.S. only, provided annually. This is on top of vacation, holidays and personal days.

Sodexo is seeking an Senior Accounting Assistant for the Financial Shared Service Accounts in the Contract Compliance & Licensing departmentin Cheektowaga, NY. We need a natural problem-solver, who thrives on challenges. Who enjoys a high energy, fast paced environment.

The successful candidate will:

  • Calculate, prepare and file license/permit applications with jurisdictions
  • Process application/renewal payment requests through the AP Payment Request Portal or online P-card payment
  • Review the contents of prepared license/permit registrations and W9 documents for completeness and accuracy
  • Input data into the Licensing/Permit Access database
  • Utilize the Licensing/Permit Access database to answer queries and resolve issues
  • Correspond directly with the Corporate Secretary's office to maintain entity and required officer information
  • Partner with Tax and other corporate departments to resolve issues that impact the filing of licenses and permits
  • Create and utilize licensing/permit reports to aid the units in maintaining timely renewals and updates
  • Provide assistance to unit managers, jurisdictions and auditors
  • Support and assist with the receipt and distribution of license/permit applications received from units and jurisdictions
  • Partner with the Accounts Payable and Mailing departments to ensure accurate and timely processing and mailing of license/permit payments
  • Assist with projects, as necessary
