What You'll Do

  • Knowledge of Regulations: Deep understanding of site-specific safety guidelines and OSHA regulations is crucial. This includes compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Training and Education: The role involves educating employees on Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) topics and conducting regular training sessions as needed.
  • Support for Safety Audits: You'll help with Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental audits to ensure compliance and identify potential safety hazards.
  • Policy and Procedure Review: You'll review and enforce the proper implementation of safety procedures such as controlling hazardous energy, managing confined spaces, fall prevention, and other specific safety hazards (asbestos, lead, GHS, etc.).
  • HS&E Strategy Evaluation: Working with the HSE leadership, you'll help assess the effectiveness of the safety programs, using data to back up findings.
  • Staff Guidance: Providing continuous support and guidance to staff regarding safety procedures and actions.
  • Support Senior Leadership: You'll take direction from the Senior HS&E Manager while supporting overall safety management and accident prevention.
  • Reporting and Trend Tracking: Keeping track of accident trends, and injury types, and generating progress reports. You'll also be responsible for facilitating corrective actions based on accident trends.
  • Additional Duties: Overseeing the implementation of safety measures, training staff, and ensuring clear communication and thorough reporting on safety.

What You Bring

  • 1-2 years of experience in Safety
  • Oil & gas, industrial/manufacturing or construction safety experience
  • Training experience
  • Excel/computer skills, Smartsheet knowledge preferred
  • Experience tracking compliance
