Sodexo is seeking an engagement-focused Retail Manager 2 - Campus Dining for Marquette University located in Milwaukee, WI. Marquette University is a Catholic, Jesuit university located near the heart of downtown Milwaukee, WI. It offers a comprehensive range of majors in 11 nationally and internationally recognized colleges and schools.

Our successful candidate will lead the day-to-day operations of the on campus Annex Bar & Grill. This position oversees all restaurant operations including menu development, sales, ordering, inventory, hiring, physical and food safety, and experiential dining. Oversight, mentoring, and management of the team that is a supervisor, cooks, and a large student employee team. Full bar responsibilities also include managing the bartender license process, bar menu, training, and compliance. This is a fun atmosphere with the opportunity to be creative and create great customer experiences!

The successful candidate will:

  • lead frontline/hourly teams, mentoring them in accurate cash handling, operations, open and closing processes;
  • maintain all product merchandising, marketing, and ordering standards are in place;
  • provide stellar customer service; and/or
  • train and manage department HACCP Safety Programs, Sodexo programs and daily operation standards.

  • possess the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service;
  • experience working in a restaurant setting;
  • exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed;
  • demonstrate working knowledge of automated food, ordering, production, and management systems as well as menu graphics programs; and/or
  • proven client relationship building and customer service skills.
