Sodexo is seeking a dynamic Retail Manager 2 to join our food services team at Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, NJ. This is an opportunity to excel in a highly visible role. Jersey City Medical Center is located on a 15-acre campus overlooking the New York Harbor and Liberty State Park. The hospital serves as a regional referral and teaching hospital providing the highest level of care for women and infants, and trauma and cardiac patients.

The Retail Manager 2 at this location will support a team of approximately 15 employees, have excellent customer service, employee engagement skills, an eye for detail, and experience driving patient satisfaction. This role will be responsible for marketing and executing events with the team in coordination with the facilities initiatives. Catering knowledge and costing of events is essential to this role. Will also assist with patient services on rotating weekends, therefore patient service experience a plus.
The successful candidate will:
- Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources
- Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies
- Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.
- Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery
- Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers.
