Location: We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Host for the Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort located in Hancock, MA.

Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort is the largest ski and snowboard resort in southern New England, summer home to Mountain Adventure Park and the only mountain resort in North America to generate its own energy using alternative wind power. Jiminy features extensive conference and wedding facilities for groups up to 400 people. Since opening in 1948 Jiminy Peak has evolved to become a four-season resort, offering something for everyone.

Principle Function:

The Restaurant Host is to welcome guests warmly and ensure a positive first impression of the dining experience. They manage reservations, seating arrangements, and coordinate guest flow to optimize the restaurant's capacity and efficiency. By working closely with the wait staff and kitchen, the host ensures smooth communication and service flow. Additionally, they handle guest inquiries and provide solutions to ensure guest satisfaction throughout their visit.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, manage reservations, and guide guests to their tables.
  • Maintain an organized seating chart, balancing table rotation to ensure efficient service for both guests and staff.
  • Address guest inquiries and resolve any seating or dining issues to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Collaborate with the wait staff and kitchen to optimize service flow and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 18+ years old
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to maneuver in a tightly-quartered environment

Other Requirements:

  • Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.

Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
