Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our dynamic team at Hollenbeck Palms in Los Angeles, CA. This vibrant, upscale CCRC (continuing care retirement community) offers Residents a rewarding, active lifestyle, as well as comprehensive healthcare services and accommodations, if needed.

The Registered Dietitian will oversee the clinical nutrition programs of a 59-bed skilled nursing unit and will be involved in kitchen operations, supporting the General Manager and Operations Manager with the scheduling and training of 10-12 dietary aides.

Reporting to our multi-service General Manager, the ideal candidate will:

  • be a Registered Dietitian with clinical experience;
  • serve in a leadership role for the Food and Nutrition Services system on campus;
  • provide clinical oversight of the skilled nursing patients;
  • support the oversight of 10-12 dietary aides in the skilled nursing kitchen; and
  • be responsible for managing and developing the clinical nutrition and wellness programs.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
