What You'll Do

The successful candidate will report to the Pediatric Clinical Nutrition Manager:

• Be a Registered Dietitian
• Provide pediatric nutrition support as part of nutrition assessments and re-assessments
• Critcal care experience preferred
• Primarily cover pediatric outpatients but may cross-train to provide coverage to inpatient pediatrics
• Support high risk outpatient clinic for post-discharge patients requiring nutrition follow up
• Work well with physicians, nursing, occupational and speech therapists, and other hospital staff.
• Work some holidays on rotation
• Educate health care team members, including residents, physicians, and nurses
• Precept dietetic interns

What You Bring

• Registered Dietitian with six months pediatric experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting;
• Obtain Georgia Licensure before start date
• Good time management and organizational skills, be a self-starter and a team player
• A track record of proactive interaction with the medical team and be an outstanding team player with strong demonstrated leadership skills.
• Possess the ability to creatively solve problems, work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions while working within a self-directed and team-oriented work environment.
• Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
