Sodexo is hiring a Nutrition Database Specialist (Registered Dietitian) to provide support to our West Region in School Services. This position is responsible for procurement and nutrition database management. This is a great opportunity for an individual to grow their nutrition career and to join our great Schools team! This is a Remote Position, with potential for occasional/infrequent travel.

Preference for candidates who reside in WA, OR, MT, UT or AZ.

The successful candidate will:

  • Work closely with Sodexo's K-12 Registered Dietitians in the West Region of the United States;
  • Provide support regarding the proper implementation of Sodexo operating standards and procedures,
  • Possess an understanding of USDA Child Nutrition Program standards and procedures that are needed to support units through Administrative Reviews (audits), preferred;
  • Be responsible for writing menus in Sodexo's PrimeroEdge Nutrition Platform following USDA standards;
  • Update costing and buying guide information in PrimeroEdge;
  • Support units in troubleshooting technology issues with Sodexo's nutrition databases and marketing platforms; and/or
  • Support Senior Manager of Nutrition Systems developing sales menus.

  • demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with the ability to adapt the changing needs of the role;
  • a history of working independently with little direction; and/or
  • an ability to implement new and innovative ideas.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Minimum Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
