Sodexo is seeking a full time Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Dietitian to provide expert nutrition care at the Level 4 NICU at the Children's Hospital at Erlanger. The Children's Hospital at Erlanger is a Comprehensive Regional Pediatric Center (CRPC), the highest state designation for pediatrics. This Level IV NICU has 58 licensed NICU beds and serves infants as young as 22 to 24 weeks' gestational age with pediatric medical and pediatric surgical specialty consultants to provide the most advanced care. We are looking for a dedicated, experienced NICU dietitian to add to our exceptional team.

The successful candidate will:

  • conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and monitor/evaluate patient care outcomes on an ongoing basis; perform nutrition-focused physical exams and nutrition education;
  • actively participate in multidisciplinary rounding;
  • be involved in quality improvement projects;
  • precept dietetic interns;
  • participate in departmental, clinical, and other meetings related to areas of practice;
  • work rotating weekends and holidays covering pediatric acute and intensive care units;
  • provide coverage as needed in NICU formula room

  • Registered Dietitian credential and three+ years of experience, NICU experience, preferred;
  • Licensure in the state of TN;
  • excellent communication skills and have the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team;

  • a strong focus on driving outstanding patient satisfaction results and driving process improvement activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
